What you need:
Three coded dice.
Phase One:
I ask the spectator to choose one of the dice. He places his hands behind
his back, takes the die in one hand and then brings both hands forward.
I tell him which hand the dice is in. We do this three or four times before I
suggest a much more difficult test.
Phase Two:
I then ask 8 spectators to stand. They decide between them who will hold the dice and then all hold their hands out in front of them. I tell them that I will ask them the question, "Do you have the dice?" and they must always answer, "Yes!". One by one I tell them that they are not telling me the truth and ask them to sit down until I am
left with the one spectator who really does hold the die.
I then reveal which hand he is holding the die in.
I know that this is a variation on the usual theme but it did go down well
with my audience.
