Paul Martin, a magician from UK
has created this new routine for
Mental UFO II:
"I
use Mental UFO II, I have found
it to be reliable and extremely
versatile. I have developed a
routine with the ESP symbols for
stage and it works a treat."
What you need:
5 black envelopes that cannot be
seen through
5 A4 laminated ESP signs
A large prediction envelope.
5 chipped ESP cards
Phase One:
I put the circle A4 laminate in
the prediction envelope. I use
the circle as it is the easiest
and quickest to scan.
I ask 4 spectators on stage and
they check the cards to confirn
thay are smooth and plastic. I
explain that these are the
actual ESP cards used in psychic
experiments.
One spec shuffles the cards face
down and another places them one
at a time into the black
envelopes.. The envelopes are
sealed and shuffled again.
I now check the envelopes are
sealed and pass the envelopes
back to the table. In order to
do this I stand between the 4
specs and the table. I get a
reading until I locate the
circle.
I ask each spec to choose a card
and ensure that I am left with
the circle. I use magicians
choice but it is easy to do as
no one knows what is in each
card.
I now know each card the specs
are holding and ask them to
stand on the A4 laminate of
there prediction.
Finally I reveal the predictions
one at a time.
In a psychic experiment one
correct guess was average.
2 correct guesses is above
average.
3 is almost psychic, 4 well I
will leave that up to you.
Phase Two:
And finally the kicker ending,
the prediction that has been in
view since the beginning of the
routine. Ask a spec to open the
last envelope and check there is
only one A4 sign inside, yes it
is the circle.
